With Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers both playing twice, the pressure was dialled up even higher. From intense matchups to clutch individual performances, GW26 brought plenty of drama, big goals, and standout displays across the league. After carefully reviewing the fixtures, here’s our Premier League Team of the Week – Gameweek 26 .
Goalkeeper José Sá (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Sá produced one of the most commanding goalkeeping performances of the season. Across Wolves’ two fixtures in DGW26, he recorded double-digit saves and played a crucial role in securing valuable points. His quick reflexes and control inside the box stood out league-wide this week, earning him a total of 13 FPL points from the two matches.
Defenders Piero Hincapié (Arsenal) With Arsenal navigating a two-game schedule, Hincapié was rock-solid defensively while also providing width going forward from left back. He even chipped in with a crucial goal. His consistency across both fixtures earns him a well-deserved spot in this week’s XI.
Gabriel Magalhães (Arsenal) Dominant in the air and strong in one-on-one duels, Gabriel helped steady Arsenal’s back line during a demanding double gameweek. He also delivered an attacking return, adding even more value to his performances. James Hill (Bournemouth) Hill impressed with key clearances and composed defending, anchoring Bournemouth’s back line effectively throughout GW26.
Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest) Aina blended defensive toughness with attacking intent. His ability to win duels and contribute going forward made his performance one of the most complete from any fullback this week. Midfielders Declan Rice (Arsenal) Rice controlled the tempo across both Arsenal fixtures, pulling the strings creatively in midfield.
His chance creation and leadership were vital during the double gameweek stretch. He delivered an attacking return and finished with an impressive 12 FPL points. Cole Palmer (Chelsea) Palmer once again rose to the occasion with decisive attacking contributions. He converted key chances, dictated play in the final third, and finished the week with a goal, an assist, and 12 FPL points in Gameweek 26.
Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest) Anderson served as Forest’s creative spark in midfield, consistently driving the ball forward and creating dangerous opportunities. He completed the most passes in the match and won the most duels in his side’s battle against Wolves, showcasing his all-around impact.
Forwards Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) In a double gameweek setting, Saka stepped up when it mattered most — direct, clinical, and relentless in attack. His influence across both fixtures was undeniable, producing an attacking return and totaling 13 FPL points. Lukas Nmecha (Leeds United) Nmecha delivered a goal and an assist that directly shaped his team’s result.
His sharp movement and clinical finishing made him an easy inclusion up front. Jørgen Strand Larsen (Crystal Palace) Leading the line for Palace in GW26, Larsen’s physical presence and involvement in two goals proved decisive.
