Unpacking Future Packers: No. 68, Arizona State LB Keyshaun Elliott

The Unpacking Future Packers Countdown is a countdown of 100 prospects who the Green Bay Packers could select in the 2026 NFL draft. As the Green Bay Packers head into the offseason, they'll need to fortify their linebacker room. Quay Walker is set to hit the open market and he'll likely get a deal the Packers won't match. Edgerrin Cooper is a cornerstone piece at the position.

Isaiah McDuffie has turned into a solid player and there is hope that Ty'Ron Hopper, a former third-round pick, can break out during his third year in the league. Those three are the only linebackers under contract. They need bodies in that room. A potential target in the 2026 NFL Draft is Keyshaun Elliott . The Arizona State linebacker checks in at No. 68 in the Unpacking Future Packers Countdown.

A transfer from New Mexico State, Elliott recorded 65 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks and one interception during his first season with the Sun Devils. This past season, Elliott recorded 98 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and seven sacks. Keyshaun Elliott is the pretty clear no. 4 linebacker in the class for me. After the big 3, he'd be the guy I target.

An absolute monster against the run, capable in coverage, upside as a blitzer, flat/screen destroyer flashes. Really good football player pic.twitter.com/xKjEqCo7i4 — Jon Ledyard (@LedyardNFLDraft) February 14, 2026 "Keyshaun was really one of the most glaring leaders of not only the defense, but the team as a whole in 2025," Kevin Hicks, the lead beat writer for Arizona State on SI, said.

"The widely held belief was that he had the green dot for a second consecutive season and he provided so much value in so many areas." At 6-1, 232 pounds with 32-inch arms, Elliott has a well-built frame. The Missouri native is an instinctive linebacker with the long arms to take on blocks and work his way through traffic. He trusts what he sees and plays fast.

The Arizona State linebacker a physical enforcer against the run. He takes appropriate angles to the football and has the closing speed to always be near the football. This past season he recorded 44 run stops to go along with his 14 tackles for or loss. "The numbers really don’t do justice for Elliott’s impact," Hicks said.

"While Arizona State’s defensive tackles typically hold up quite well in the A gap, Elliott is one of the very best players I’ve seen as far as timing, instinct, and strength are concerned at the off-ball linebacker spot.

He truly is a player that has the ability to get into the backfield and blow up a play on a whim." While not the most dynamic athlete, Elliott showcases good field awareness as a zone dropper. He has the lateral quickness to mirror and matchup with running backs. "He’s a pretty standard coverage linebacker in my estimation, which is probably a positive," Hicks said.

"His strength, IQ, and footwork allow him to prevent pass catchers from beating him in shallow routes frequently. The versatility Elliott holds is truly one of the most conspicuous drawing points of his game." Elliott finished his collegiate career with 368 special teams snaps to his name, including 276 during his first two seasons at New Mexico State.

He projects as an immediate core-four player Fit with the Packers The Packers need to add to the linebacker room this offseason. With more pressing needs at cornerback and in the trenches on both sides of the ball, the Packers may wait until Day 3 to address the linebacker group. If that's the case, Elliott could be a potential target.
